Jatab 'MM is a unique wheelchair that is specially designed to make it possible for a person who cannot move by him- or herself, to live an active and mobile life with as little assistance as possible. Jatab 'MM combines comfortable sitting and easy mobilization with a good working environment for the caregiver.

Transfer

Transfer between bed and wheelchair is done comfortably and easily with the user in a prone position, using a special transfer board and sliding pad. Even heavy people can be moved easily by one caregiver.

Varied sitting position

The ease with which sitting positions can be varied permits the user to avoid the risks of pressure sores and hip contractures. Sitting is comfortable and does not become tiring. It is easy to switch to resting in a prone position when desired. The seat’s construction distributes pressure, and stress on the ischium is relieved.
The seat and the back cushion can be specially adapted for the user’s own needs.

Standing, training in a standing position

The standing-up function permits regular training in a standing position – something that otherwise can be neglected. This training is necessary for reducing the risk of osteoporosis and contractures, as well as for treating spasticity. It is also important for maintaining bowel activity, breathing, and blood circulation.

Hygiene, WC, showering

Toilet visits can be simply and quickly accomplished, since no lifts or transfers with other assitive devices are necessary. This feature is especially important for visits outside the home.

Using the shower cover, showers and washing can be managed without other assistive devices.
